Rafael H. Llinas, MD

Dr. Llinas's initial training was in Neurology, followed by a fellowship in cerebrovascular disease during which he learned both cutting-edge imaging techniques as well as basic clinical evaluation and treatment. This unique combination has been extremely useful in not only his career, but also his ability to contribute and mentor clinical, imaging, and outcomes research work. His experience in clinical research includes neurophenomenology reports, novel trials, multicenter clinical research, and epidemiologic studies. He continues to see stroke patients, teach students, residents, and fellows, as well as junior faculty.
