Dawn Merbach, CRNP, SCRN

Dawn is the stroke nurse practitioner for the comprehensive stroke program at the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. She graduated from Community College of Baltimore County – Essex with her Associate Degree in Nursing in 1998 and continued her education at Notre Dame of Maryland with her bachelor’s degree in Nursing in 2014 and nurse practitioner degree from Chamberlain University in 2020. She started her career at Bayview in 1998 on the Neurosciences Unit with 16 years of critical care experience in the Neurosciences Critical Care Unit. She also has experience in interventional radiology and currently is the stroke nurse for Bayview for the past 2 years.

She has been a part of the Marsh lab since the beginning and is very interested in stroke recovery and education. She is currently involved in a project looking at the effect of coumadin on size of stroke and assists with a study that personalizes education for stroke patients.
